Dear Doctor,
I have a friend who was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago. The MDs wanted to give her a colostomy bag. She chose to go the natural route of healing - fresh vegetable juices; lots of fresh, pure water; lots of prayer; the raw vegan diet (giving up all animal products as she had previously been a "junk food eating vegetarian for 20 years." She continued to get the diagnostics from her MD. She read like crazy everything she could get her hands on regarding nutrition and healing. About 9 months or so after her diagnosis, she was given a clean bill of health, WITH HER PRECIOUS COLON STILL INTACT. Her surgeon, who specializes, in colorectal surgeries, was a WONDERFUL DOCTOR. He admitted that he did not know about the path she was taking, but he would support her and always be available for her. He even prayed with her.
Sincerely,
Beverly L. Pirtle, RN
