Yes, there is a bit of residue on me as well, but nothing greasy, slick or anything that requires "remover". The shower works just fine. I'll bet thought that if I only used the pack for an hour, I would still be coated with it and the remover would come in handy. I much prefer relaxing with it overnight. I get better results and have no clean up afterwards.

My castor oil still works fine as well. But I only bought it last month. I agree about all the conflicting information - it is enough to make a person crazy!!

My oil does not smell, looks normal, is the same consistency, etc. Just to be sure, I just called The Heritage Store. I was told their castor oil has a shelf life of THREE years - as long as it is not exposed to extreme heat.
