I've started taking something called fruchto-oliga-saccharides which are supposed to feed the good bacteria. I must say I think that they seem to be controling candida much better than anti-fungals and with a much more gentle action. I also like them because they are relatively cheap and taste nice. It looks and tastes a bit like sugar.
I've concluded that anti-fungals are definitely not a good idea for people with a serious candia infestation (they are probably okay if you are only mildly affected).
If you have candida then your liver is probably already stressed and taking anti-fungals is like hitting it with a heavy hammer. If I take them I can guarantee I'll have a pain in my liver two hours later.
I think that this FOS is a much more gentle and effective way of controlling candida.
