Here is a good snack. I make my own hummous and dip raw veggies in it:
Hummous
1 can garbanzo beans and liquid (chick peas)
1/2 C. sesame tahini (like nut butter)
juice of one small lemon, minus the seeds
2 T. olive oil
several cloves of chopped RAW garlic to taste. (I like lots)
Put all this stuff in blender and turn on till all is blended. You can also drizzle or heap this on steamed veggies, depending on how thick or thin it is.
For breakfast sometimes I quickly scramble 2 eggs and set on plate. While eggs are cooking I cut one or 2 zucchini and quickly steam. When done, put zucchini on eggs chop some garlic and put that on(if not going to work!), drizzle with flax seed oil and top with alfalfa or sunflower sprouts. Yum!
Sometimes I open a can of organic black beans and put about 1/3 cup on a plate. Slice avocado, tomato, add sprouts and maybe a little tofu. Add favorite salad dressing or hummous.
Have fun, oh yes... no grains for awhile if you can stand it. You'll be much better off!
