I couldn't find the answer anywhere, and this is the only place where I heard a commentary about a direct relation between zinc and candida.
I'm currently taking 150mg of zinc citrate daily, plus what I get from food, been doing that for 3 days now. The main difference I've felt is that I seem to have better memories of dreaming when waking up, which could be related to resolving a deficiency.
I have serious reasons to believe I am zinc deficient (and copper toxic), and I do not have an easy access to blood tests and hair analysis and that kind of thing, which are not completely reliable anyway, so I'm willing to take the risk. I wouldn't suggest anyone to take such a high dosage, because it can induce a copper deficiency by impairing its absorption in the intestines (by the same mechanism that could prevent the absorption of toxic metals, particularly cadmium, but including mercury). You could try 50mg a day and see if you notice a difference.
