I wouldn't think in that form it has a lot of sugar- maybe I'm wrong though? I wanted to try it in the past but never have because of it's estrogenic properties ( I have endometriosis so I stay clear of things like that ).
It is oestrogenic as Stanna says but a lot less than something like royal jelly.
Rebecca (at Julia Chang's site) says it's fine to take if you are not oestrogen dominant.
I took propolis capsules and tincture, but to be honest I didnt 'feel' like it helped (blasted tincture also ruined clothes and pillows via SERIOUS staining!)
However we all react differently and propolis is used by bees to prevent mould growth so it may be worth trying and then see how you feel.
I'm on the GAPS diet in order to fight Candida and the ONLY sweetener that was recommended was honey (my nutritionist actually preferred it to stevia or xylitol even). So I'm sure bee pollen is okay. In fact, bee pollen has many, many enzymes and it has some tissue repair qualities both of which are great for any gut issues. So bee pollen may actually be helpful to you!
