I have been in a moldy environment for a few months. It has made my candida horrid. will Nystatin work to help eliminate it ... plus probiotics like wobenzyme??

MoreThis is a reply to # 291,597It is advisable to carry on with the diet for another 3 months after candida is under control. Then you`ll get rid of it completely.
Nystatin will help a great deal with the SYMPTOMS, and ease it for you. But to deal with the cause, you need the probiotics and the diet.
I also live in a rather moldy environment in Taiwan and - even though I hate to use antifungals because they ruin the natural equilibrium of my intestinal flora - I often need to use nystatin. But this is not THE solution, you need to eliminate the toxins that allow the fungus to grow on them. Fasting, and a Colon Cleanse would accelerate the cleanse.

Does this mean that you still have some candida, or is it just that once you have had it, you will always be extra sensitive to the molds and such? I hope you are still doing well!

When I talked about having to take antifungals in a moldy environment,
I was actually refering to last April when continuous rain made my appartment so moldy that I had to take antifungals again for a few weeks. Otherwise I was so tired and I had low thyroid symptoms.
I am now in Quebec, enjoying summertime. I had meant to carry on with a strict diet for the necessary extra 3 months, but visiting the family and being invited here and there (and not refusing due to my MANY intolerances- YEAH!) Well, I `ve been cheating a little more than I should have, which I guess means that I am going to get back to a strict diet in September, once I am back home in Taiwan.
I am doing rather fine, even the day after I have cheated (I must avoid to cheat two days in a row though). I am still amazed by the new person I have become - I used to spend as little time possible cooking - and my family is also very surprised. Next week I have invited a bunch of close friends I have not seen for 2 or 3 years. I am looking forward to that BBQ!

This is a reply to # 291,636Jhan I am so happy that you are still doing well. That is so very cool. I am right on your heels, as I am able to eat more and more things. I had popcorn at the movies on Saturday, and ice cream on Sunday with NO REACTIONS!! Like you, I still cannot load up on these foods too many days in a row, but I anticipate it will get better and better as I continue to get better and better. I agree - it is such a pleasure to be able to eat things again - even tho I plan to stay on candida diet for life, it is nice to know I can eat something if I choose to without being sick for days. Enjoy your BBQ!!!!

This is a reply to # 291,610So if probiotics are important ... how many a day did you take. and is with or without meals important. I figure with meals the PB's digest my food and in between they eat my yeast/. In which case how many a day do we use to eat our yeast. The more the better?

This is a reply to # 291,6393 times a day, before meals ideally. Some of it gets digested while you`d want them to comeout intact. And this is why, what does work marvels is a Probiotics Enema , a spoonful of whatever probio. you are using -be it yogurt, kefir or any other suppl. - in lukewarm water for an enema works so well ( an enema every second day at first and then once a week).
