So, my tongue with the nasty white coating is now a beautiful, healthy pink. I cured my white tongue yesterday but wanted to wait till today to post to make sure that the white stuff didn't grow back overnight. It didn't.
This cure (and I'm hoping and assuming that it's going to last) was just a hunch that I tried and it worked in less than a day. My hope in posting this is that one or more of you try this and see if it works for you.
What I did was to put several drops of oregano oil on my tongue and spread it around with my finger a few times a day. While I've also been brushing my tongue and gargling with mouthwash and H202, I don't think these things were of much help because I have done them before and they never worked.
I just finished brushing my teeth now and spent more time than usual brushing my tongue with toothpaste. After washing my mouth out, I decided to modify my technique and put a bit more oregano oil than usual on my tongue and brush it with a clean toothbrush. Using a brush meant that I could really reach to the back of my tongue and get the sides as well. I'm going to keep up the oregano oil routine for another week or so then stop and see if the results remain.
In the meantime, I'm also going to try this on my mother, whose tongue is coated with the nastiest whitish-green mess you could imagine.
I look forward to your feedback and suggestions . . .
