This is a practical problem. Garlic's
odor. I don't mind it that much. But others do. At work, a
few have noticed, and one inparticular, a not-so-nice lady, has been
rather nasty about it. Fine, ok. But, today, I was with a friend,
and "apparently" the smell was intense enough for him to smell it; "do you smell that? what is that? it smells like bad garlic bread". A little ashamed, I said "yeah, I smell it", and turned my head.
Don't expect any answers to this, really; the benfits I've seen from
eating raw garlic are ultimately worth much more than the cost of
smelling like a walking talking bulb of garlic. Still, it kinda
stinks (pun intended). I've even taken some precautions that I think have helped (shower and wash all body parts after chomping/eating garlic), used deoderant spray, small amounts of cologne, altoids and peppermint oil for oral, but I think the damn stuff just comes out when I sweat.
Here's what I'm thinking. I've read several opinions and some think garlic comes out the pores and others don't. I'm taking roughly a bulb a day here. So, I'm asking myself, are they smelling it through my skin on my whole body, or is it just the smell from my hands dealing with the garlic externally? I just read a few techniques (rub on stainless steal or salt) to remove the odor, so I will attempt these things. What do you guys think is more likely?
Any comments will be greatly appreciated!
