Candida is an intra-cellular infection - i.e. it can go inside the cells of your body where it can hide from antifungals and your immune system.
Because of this there are 2 things you need to do:
1. Shift your immune profile over to Th1
2. Consume MSM - this is a must!
MSM regulates cell permuability. People with candida often have very rigid cells which hold toxins and yeast. The only way to release these is to consume MSM which will increase the permeability of the cell membranes allowing toxins/yeast to release. You should take about 1 gram a day. Even this may be too much. The dosage of MSM is cumulative and takes several days to build-up/take effect.
Th1 is the cell-mediated immune response which the body uses to fight intra-cellular infections such as viruses, cancer and candida. Candida shifts a persons immune-response to Th2 which stops the body from fighting it off. You need to shift it over to Th1.
How do you know if either of these have worked? A good sign is if you suddenly start feeling the flu-like symptoms of die-off. This is a good sign that your body has shifted over to Th1.
MSM alone has been known to induce the symptoms of die-off.
