As a Christian and a creationist it has struck me lately how amazing our earth really is. God truly had us in mind when he created this beautiful home. Think about Mars or Jupiter or anywhere else where life could have possibly "evolved". In the case of Mars, it seems to be little more than a boring, rocky terrain with the occasional trough or valley. Jupiter and other planets are just big balls of Gas. Our moon is cold and colorless. But look at the earth! It CAN'T be just dumb luck....It SCREAMS love and creation. God put so many beautiful and wonderful things here for us Humans to explore and learn about. For every type of person or personality, it seems there are just as many varied topics of interest or activities created to strike the imagination and learn from.
God created mountains to climb, seas to navigate, dirt to excavate, caves to explore, rivers to raft, forests to camp, animals to study, lakes to fish, a sky to fall from, a starry universe to ponder the possibilites. Would you have thought of all this if you were to create the world? It seems to me that our earth is a virtual playhouse for us humans, designed to explore, admire, and fascinate the senses.
And, He gave us tons of stuff to bring us joy and strike our deepest emotions: a whole palette of beautiful colors for the artistic minded, an unlimited potential for making music, a million different food combinations for the culinary-minded, countless materials and natural rescorces for building and creating things.
But more than that he gave us the greatest gift of all: love in one's heart. The Bible says we were created in His image. I believe this is what that means. We are simply the multi-dimentional result of God's love. Most of us would agree there is nothing more powerful in life than the love you can give and receive. Without it, people have a tendency to develop a cold heart, and essentially lead meaningless lives -- regardless of anything else they may have. And God made it possible, regardless of our earthly relationships, to have a meaningful relationship with Him. And in that respect we're never alone, and love can always be exchanged...it's this little piece of God's creation that fills us with purpose and makes us whole. S

My point is super is not defending creationism he has not stated one thing that could prove or convince any open minded sensible person that creationism is Science as they claim, just anti intellectual mythology and promoting his own particular brand of religion it has nothing to do with the debate, its babble, it offers nothing to the creationist dehate ! This is a debate on the subjects on the title of this forum! Almost all of the anti evolutionist are guilty of this , they have no real substance behind them only this continuous trashing and claiming all the unsubstantiated made up self decided fallacies make up something that they cant even agree on ! If you want to bash intellectual concepts and promote personal viewpoints perhaps those who are so down on evolution and Science and have no real belief system except what you make up as you go along you should request a personal myth forum. How do you play a game when the rules are made up and change as you go along! Face it evolution is grounded in Science if that bothers you at least come up with something substantial to prove your alternatives beside what ever you say it is! Everyone has an opinion but I expect more then that to make a debate!
Science is fluid it chances with awareness, this is not dogma, religion is what you are told it is, it stays shackled to the past and is pickled in the churches agenda to maintain the herd! That my friend is dogma!

Had to check this debat out ( or bs session to U ) Your gonna have to get alot more scepticisiam ( and forgive my spelling a ton ) if ya really want to address this topic. You just dont have enough yet to make this fun! (I would really love to take your thinking apart, without attacking you personnally at all!, easier said than done) I am one that does believe evolution is nothing but fiction, but that Science is fundumental. I have disagreement with anyone thinking otherwise. Its like like people still believing in a flat earth - common sense, intuition and "solid science" dictates otherwise. If you could maybe start over with me, it would be apprieciated. Give me your biggest issues with God or evelution ya have. Would love to play if this works out.

Actually many of the scientific discoveries were made by Christians. Do your homework before spouting lies and deceptions.
Infantile fantasies?! If you think that it is infantile to believe God created the earth and the heavens, then you are way out there. It is the most mature thing one can believe. It is wise to believe that. Not only b/c it's true, but b/c it is also logical, never disproven, and beneficial to the mind, body, and soul.

My first comment stands. It's proven that we nor other living things can live on the conditions of other planets that we know about. To think that life can't evolve and hasen't evolved ANYWHERE ELSE is very self-centric. The universe is infintie. The tiny portion that we are aware of in miniscule. There are thousands of galaxys out there. Life probably has evolved somewhere else. Why would God create so many useless galexies?
Second, the above poster has it right. What are you doing in a debate forum when you just want to preach to other creationists? Go to a creationist forum. The post should be deleted, but yours never do.

Oh I bet it's just awe-striking....what I actually said, though, was the moon was cold and colorless. And my point was that earth's perfection and beauty far exceeds the that of other known objects in space...and it just happens to be the place where we live.
You people have a way of taking a beautifully innocent post and making comments that are toxic and rancid. I honestly think you'd argue with a brick wall.

Not blind faith that's what Creationism is. No questions asked just believe it. With evolution we are trying to come up with facts and evidence.
Ignorance? Nope. Trying to find evidence and make sense of it all. Once God is proven then I'll believe in him too.
Fact: Of course there is some fact in it. Even some creationists believe in micro evolution.
Now tell me how Creationism isn't blind faith, ignorance, and where are your facts?

Do you even read the posts here? No Evolutionist believes threre aren't missing links. What we belive is evidence which has already been presented. Sure there are missing links, but the search for them aren't over. Evolutionists ask questions all the time. You are talking about Christians.
