I'm against the state and church uniting as one entity, yes. But just because the state provides money to schools doesn't mean they control it, or are not seperate. The schools should still be able to teach what they want, without it meaning the state and church aren't seperate. The court has it wrong there I think.
What I meant by a trade, was everyone should come out of highschool being a carpenter, nurse, doctor, evolutionist, priest, teacher, or electrician for instance. They should be able to walk out of there with a trade and get a job. The junk they teach is too general, nonspecific, and worthless. I passed math, algebra, English, and so on, but I can't tell you what an adverb is, or how determine the radious of what ever. I have a spell checker for words I can't spel. (hehe) I think I get my point across most of the time. I could care less about any of that junk unless I need it in my trade, and most trades don't need any of it except for the basics.
They should also teach every child what things you should consider before getting married, or having kids. What being a good parent is. Teach them how to manage finances. Things like this would prevent so many problems that cost billions and billions, not to mention all the heartaches, and destroyed lives. I know perents should teach things like this, but it ain't, oops, isn't happening.
Teach the kids how to read, show them all the possible jobs, make them decide, and teach them that trade, and how to be an adult. Make children decide what they want to do in life, instead of going through college wondering what they're going to do after they get out, and then getting a job at McDonalds. Make parents, children, and the schools responsible, instead of blaming each other because there's no plan.
Just my thoughts anyway.

The real intention of separation of "church and state" was for example, England forced everyone to be catholic. That's why they came over to the us to be free. ENGLAND was a CATHOLIC STATE. They killed people for not being catholic and made their lives hell. It's not freedom from religion, it's freedom to choose which religion if any, one believes in. Because the first men who wrote the constitution based it straight out of the bible.

you have got to be kidding me. there is only one truth, and i didnt say what that was. no one owns the truth. it simply IS, with or without anyones permission. if you think any different, you are deluded.

the truth is that none of us were there when these things took place, so nobody knows for sure. that is not taught in school. opinions are taught in school as truth. that is outrageous.

the theory of evolution is just that - a theory. the belief in creation is just that - a belief. these are inescapable truths.

my opinion? i have studied evolution in college. i found the field of study full of zealots, lsd dropouts, and falling down drunks. i found the logic highly biased and not the least bit scientific. evolution as a process of nature is observable. evolution as a theory of the beginnings of life on this planet is in dire need of proofs and borders on being a monumantal academic joke. science, by definition, must be repeatable. real Science raises more questions than it provides answers. dogmatism is not an option in the search for the truth.

i have studied the bible and cultivated a relationship with god, by his mercy and kindness. the very essence of god is the truth, so, just as in real science, the more i understand, the less i know. but i have never been failed by the things god has said that i am able to check out myself. therefor, i am well within the parameters of sound logic to take him at his word for those things i dont yet understand or have no way of knowing otherwise. without the relationship, this would be an exercise in foolishness - nothing short of a self delusion. anyone without that relationship has no choice but to see this sort of belief as self delusion for they have no basis of comparison. i have no problem with that - it comes with the territory.

but, people "of faith" cant prove evolution was not the process through which life came into being on this planet, and evolutionists cannot prove god didnt create the basic forms of life we see today and the world as we know it. thats what should be taught in school, not this haughty attitude that man knows everything. that is pure BS.
