I would have thought the biggest affront to God was presuming to speak for God, but that's just a guess. It happens a lot more than we all realize... *giggle*
(Religions and religious types get around this by insisting that God has genuinely granted them permission [but offer nothing but faith to back up the claim]. Just ask George W. Bush or any other religio-political madman.)

What is BACKSLIDE? It sounds like a digestive disorder. How can someone hate something he/she dosn't believe in? I don't believe in Santa Clause, but I don't hate him. So you see a person + the breath of life = a soul.
If you have five pieces of wood and a hand full of nails, you can put them together and make a box.
Now take the nails back. You have some wood and some nails. Where did the box go? It didn't go anywhere. It just ceases to exist.
When a person dies their body goes back to the ground and the breath goes back to God. You don't go anywhere. You just cease to exist.- Beej? ff.

This is very interesting to me. So, does this mean an unborn fetus does not yet have a soul according to the christian belief system? No breath and unable to breath on it's own means no soul yet? Intresting point.Advertisement
