Guess you'll hafta actually participate in the forum and actually read and pay attention in the next 5 years ;+D. Read the book and the thousands of posts in this forum cause the broth has certainly >NEVER< been part of the Master Cleanse. At the end of the cleanse when breaking the MC sure but has >NEVER< been part of the cleanse itself.
That Espen article is simply someone's experience and experiment and not any kind of "official" endorsement. I have no idea why it is still on this site cause it has caused a lot of confusion with newbees on this forum for quite a long time now. As Zoe explained the broth will activate the digestive system thus defeating the MCs main MO which is to give the digestive system a rest.
That some one can benefit some by adding the broth , sure. But so can anyone derive "some" benefit from >ANY< liquid diet. The MC works in a very simple elegant but "specific" manner by giving the digestive system a rest. If you add >anything< that will stimulate digestion it is no longer the "Master Cleanse" and it will >not< work the same way. Simple logic, the END.
For the newbees, there are 2 discrepancies in the video. The first is not a biggie but as per the book it is not 10 Oz of water per drink. It is 8 Oz. The other discrepancy is a little more crucial as he states that you can do the SWF when you get home from work and that is simply not so. The SWF is not unique to the MC. It is an old Ayurvedic recipe and it must be done on an empty stomach. This is even more crucial with the MC cause if you do it in the evening you will be flushing out what little nutrition you are getting plus you'll flush out all those live enzymes from the lemon juice and the cayenne that your body will use while you sleep to help break down the nasties in your GI tract.
