I am having a lot of gas after coming off of a 21 day fast. This is day 4 post fast. I have followed the directions completely and other than this everything has gone well. I am drinking lots of water too. Today I added an all fruit smoothy in the morning and ate the soup for lunch and dinner. The gas started yesterday. I also have not had a b.m., but I haven't really eaten a lot, it still doesn't take much to fill me up at this point.
yes...just like a baby...you are starting up your digestion all over again. take it easy and pick stuff that is easy to digest. also pick up some yogurt with atcive cultures in it. dannon even makes one now..i like to reccomend that to everyone just because it is everywhere and easily found. its called activa and comes in a green package.
Just don't buy dannon if you are a strict vegetarian, the red coloring in dannon yogurt products is made from ground up beetles from South America. It sounds made up, but if you research it you will find it is true ^_^
Also, try mint tea to ease your gas. It can have an excellent soothing effect on an upset tummy.
Yuck! ground up beetles. I am not a vegetarian but I don't like the sound of that! I did start taking a really good probiotic. I'm only eating veggies and fruit until things "get going" but I may add some PLAIN yogurt w/ active cultures from the health food store. I did get a really great papaya yesterday too. Thanks for the info and advice. I think I'll go make a cup of peppermint tea!
Thank you
In my mind, easy to digest foods are like toast, or baby food, etc.
But the directions say to move from soup onto raw veggies. I expect that eating raw vegies would upset my stomach.
