Good job on coming to a good end for your MC!
About the OJ, I drank about 8 glasses per day. They were 10 to 12
oz glasses.
I made sure that they were diluted with 50% spring water on the first day and about 25% spring water on the second.
And you need to make sure that you sip.
i Applaud your efforts to eat fruit for a few days before you eat the soup, but the soup (which) should be mostly broth will help ease you into the transition of eating solid food.
Fruit is high in sugars ... good sugars, though.
I think it would be wise to eat them, by keep down the portions.
As for gaining weight after the MC, it all depends on what type of committment that you have made with yourself concerning the way that you are going to look at food.
It might require that you research what types of foods that you might be "addicted" to that cause you to gain weight and retain water.
There are several good books on programs and new ways of thinking about food that I would like to suggest...
1) The False Fat Diet, by Dr. Elson Haas
2) The Fat Flush Plan by Anne Gittleman
3) Fit for Life by the Diamonds (A married couple - well they were married at the time, they are now divorced)
I just came off a 40 day
Master-Cleanse and I lost 30 pounds. Over the past 3 weeks I have kept my weight gain to about 3 pounds.
I fluctuated up about 6 pounds, but through exercise and a committment to a predominatly vegan life style (not vegetarian, but vegan) I am maintaining, and I hope to lose 30 more over the next year.
One of the things that has helped me cope with the weight gain was remembering that the
Master-Cleanse is not a weight reduction plan, but a body detoxification plan.
The weight loss was a nice plus, but it will not remain off unless I work at changing why, how, and what I eat.
It is a challange, but if you were able successfully make it through that MC, you will be able to make it through this as well.
Good luck to you!
