Hi. Just wanted to add that it's important not to blame a partner unnecessarily. Many people -- maybe even most -- are asymptomatic. They don't know they have herpes.
But they can pass it, even if they don't have outbreaks themselves.
So you could be in a relationship for years, and then suddenly have an outbreak. Doesn't mean that anyone cheated. But of course, if you're both under stress, maybe even marital, and you break out, you are more likely to believe this is a new virus and that someone did cheat.
But the virus could have been there for twenty years or more, underground, hiding out.
Lots of viruses are like that -- the HPV (human papilloma virus) is one.
So relax and try not to jump to conclusions.
