Wrapping up the MC today, quick summ...

this was my first one and it was a short one (6days).
Day 1. Tons of energy, had to run 2 miles just to get rid of it
Day 2. a couple of hunger pangs that went away quickly, normal energy
Day 3. Worst day ever, Wife said I looked like droopy, was very depressed and very low energy. Developed a headache later in the evening
Day 4. Woke up feeling great, developed a headache in the afternoon that lasted all day....not major, just a nagger in the neck (I do not get headaches/ever)
Day 5. Felt great
Day 6. Felt great
Did the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) daily and it worked day 1, 2, and 3. Day 4 it worked a little I think, but could have been the laxative, Day 5 not at all and Day 6 is pending
I lost 10 lbs conservatively (wasn't going for weight loss).
Had no health problems to report on. I had gas/digestion problems that I will not be able to tell if it was resolved for a few days.

This is a reply to # 253,313Good going, Tiz! It sounds like you could easily have gone a few more days, but whatever is right for you. I just had to add some unsolicited advice, since you admitted to being a non-cook. Learn to cook!! It's nearly impossible to eat healthy if you don't cook, so at least learn the basics of cooking good, simple healthy food, which is actually the easiest kind to prepare. People who don't cook end up eating way too much pre-packaged, prepared, fast, or other junk food. I don't mean to be presumptuous ...just concerned, and wish you the best. Healthy living! M

Try a CROCK POT and a VEGGIE STEAMER...if you can affored them.
I never thought I'd find cooking so easy. I WAS a cook (raised a family of 4). But being single now, I can't cook for a family anymore and I truly loved cooking.
I still have that "can't cook for one" feeling in me, so I chose to opt to cook ONE BIG BATCH of veggie soup or STEW (no BEEF) with chicken, and only have to microwave to heat my diner or lunch for a few days , cause I cook such a big batch!
I don't get any pleasure in cooking since I am ONE! But I think I may re-kindle the passion, as I have discovered the vegetarian stuff on the internet, since I started this Master-Cleanse and started surfing the web.
It is sooo easy to throw the ingredients into the crock pot... set it and walk away. After a few Hours you smell it cooking and wonder... Why didn't I do this years ago?
With flash frozen veggies and canned broth & or boullion cubes... whata way to go!
Even if you do up the veggie & broth just to have in between meals or early eve. SNACK!
You cant go wrong!
I will use the veggie steamer for the first time (I bought it - hasn't arrived yet) after my Master-Cleanse of hopefully 40 days. It should be just as easy.

MoreThis is a reply to # 253,326I can cook some, just have never made soup...I have a vege steamer and two crock pots, my husband cooks more than I do though. I ran on three of the 6 days as those were days I felt I had enough energy and one of those day I was barely able to and was very hungry for a while after. Thanks for all of your help and I will probably be doing it again for a longer period in the summer.
