ok, i posted today i was losing steam-now i'm freaking out. has anyone else had blood in their urine during a cleanse? i'm on day 12 and don't know what to think. i feel like i'm having a UTI...but now i'm scared.. please help- Re: blood in urine! help sapphire7

If it were me I'd wean off and start on OJ tomorrow.

MoreThis is a reply to # 249,911Why don't you go to a doctor? To me that warrants medical attention and no one here, as far as I can tell, is a doctor. You should be examined by trained medical personnel as it may be a very serious condition.

and begin drinking cranberry juice as fast as you can, UTIs are no joke. Better if there is a Trader Joes near you (or other mom and pop health stop) where you can get natural cranberry juice. Unless you have a juicer and can find and juice fresh ones.
The cranberry juice may bring it under control or you may have to go to a dr and get the Antibiotics .
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling bad. Is it possible that you ate or drank something that's coloring your urine or do you have the classic "hurts when you pee" UTI symptom.

This is a reply to # 249,918i don't think its a UTI b/c i don't have a fever. i think its possible i saw something in the pot (sorry) that looked like tiny sand. i don't know for sure, thought maybe my husband dropped something in there and didn't flush. i'm starting to not burn as much, but i am going to break the fast and start with oj.
i have an appointment set for the dr on thurs anyway for f/u on something else. if it gets too painful again, i'll go in.
does anyone know if you can pass a gallstone in urine or does it come out the other side? not sure...thanks again you guys.- Ask Somer, she knows EVERYTHING! Black Butterfly

This is a reply to # 249,922I think she passed something painful on her long stint last summer. I thought they come out the pee side, but when we Liver Flush stuff comes down the duke chute so I'm not sure.

my sense is that this is not such a big concern. *No slight intended. I think the poster may have overreacted...On the MC, you can indeed pass some 'sand' as it cleans the kideneys, the liver, and indeed all bodily systems. There may even be small masses that release themselves, and there might be a touch of blood with that.
This ( situation) is why it helps to see the body as a whole, intricate unit, with its own innate intelligence, before going into the MC. To trust. Plenty of things happen. I hope the poster finds that balance again of trusting to Grace. I truly don't see how the Master-Cleanse done correctly can cause anything serious -- while it definitely can undo plenty. So-- and the undoing might include a few moments of shock.

This is a reply to # 249,929As Somer often said. I would choose to think positive. The burning might well be all the acid waste leaving the system -- after all, that's what the Master-Cleanse is designed to do. The burning also could be the cayenne.
If you decide to break-- then pure cranbery juice will stop any infection.
But remember, the Master-Cleanse is a kideney cleanse as well, so probably this is just a transient happening.

This is a reply to # 249,930thanks - if i had to guess, i'd say i passed a small tiny stone of some sort, don't know where, but we'll see. maybe i'll feel better tomorrow. my other concern is, if it was a stone, i don't know if i am up for passing any more.
there was only a tinge of blood, couple of drops for each time i urinated in a 4 hour period. the blood has stopped, but the burning hasn't.
thanks for the reminder about trusting....i appreciate the support and guidance from all.

I totally agree with osal...this is kidney grit and one of the functions of The Master Cleanse is to flush the kidneys. The best thing you can do is to keep drinking the drinks and amp up on the water.
Years ago I had these symptoms but was clueless and so did go to the hospital where they put me on liquids, ran tests and proclaimed "kidney grit". The bill hurt a lot worse than the kidney grit.
If things get too difficult, I would also suggest drinking 100% cranberry juice...not cocktail or anything with high fructose sugar. Watermelon juice will also greatly help but again, if you are on track with your lemonade and water, this should be a passing thing and as Somer loves to say, "better out than in!".

This is a reply to # 249,930I forgot about those!. I lived by those after I had my little one. I had a C-section but ended up wioth a nasty bladder infection from the catheter. Between the sitz and drowning in cranberry juice, I healed myself as I refused the Antibiotics since I didn't want to pass them on to the baby through my milk.
I'd still go to the doctor though to make sure that that's what it is, though I'd probably not take any meds.
Sitz and cranberry worked like a charm for me!
