My SO (Japanese) mostly uses olive oil [made for cooking & grilling] to do most all her cooking with. Olive oil is not a seed oil. Sometimes she puts a dash (very small amount) of sesame oil in just to add a bit of flavor to some of her dishes. Never have been into canola, or other oils. And had long stopped eating out at fast-food places. I think that is where most everyone has to just stop doing. They will use the cheapest oils to produce their products.
