Today I picked up a few Eye of Round Steaks, I pan seared it a few minutes on each side, it was still nice and rare inside. I sprinkled on some salt and pepper. It tasted great but was like cutting through rope, chewing it took a while. Any easy recipes for cooking these low-budget cuts of beef?
Good idea! There's an Instant Pot around here somewhere. I could buy a few pounds of this bargain meat, slice it up and throw it in the cooker. Maybe add a few potatoes too.
i like it any way i can get it. low and slow is fine with me. gimme dem 48 hour short ribs. but a chuck roast will do. the a**holes cut all the fat off of them, though.
