no its not. thats not what the bible says AT ALL.

James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

so did god create the devil and demons to tempt you? god created everything and he called his creation good. i dont think devils and demons are good things, do you?

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

yep, god is in control of everything. so how does one get tempted if it isnt the devil and his legions?

Galatians 4:14
And my temptation which was in my flesh

its in and through the flesh where temptation arises.

Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

did demons tempt jesus? no, he commanded them at will. and demons dont tempt us either.

James 1:13-15

so there you have it finally. you tempt yourself. and people tempt each other and god. thats the godly holy spirit inspired description of how things work. you can take it or leave it, catholics and protestants alike.
