I have been consuming anywhere between 4-9 raw egg yolks either alone or stirred into raw milk for the last 3 weeks.
Little bit about me:
Been on a strict Paleo diet for the last 3 years to heal the body (undiagnosed autoimmune disorder). Been a long journey but feel about 70-80% right now. Slow progress but I have learned a lot for sure.
My biggest issue has always been my liver, I believe. Any time I tried upping amounts of probiotics,antifungals,antiparasitics,ect I have dealt with nasty die off effects. Which would lead me to believe my liver is not in the best shape it could.
The last few months I have experimented with different liver remedies to see what works. Raw egg yolks are a huge suggestion, and the
Science is very sound (large amounts of choline, gluthiaone producing compounds,ect). I have noticed that after 3ish weeks of taking in 4-9 egg yolks (200 pound male, not as crazy as it sounds) a day, my liver and gallbladder start to feel a little sore and my bowel movements (Which are normally very good) have become sluggish and constipation leaning. More fatigue, and generally feeling off has been the case for the last week as well.
Coffee (which I don't consume but maybe twice a year) has helped emencely by flushing the bowels and liver. Kinda what I thought the egg yolk would do. Very poorly smelling stools along with some odd objects (what appears to be mucous).
My question. Why is the egg yolk causing this reaction? Why does the coffee seem to be the most effective thing I've done in purging the liver/gallbladder? Any other tips? (And no offense, please no suggestions on diet change to a vegan diet, I am well aware of what works and seen the great benefits of a Paleo diet). Thanks!
