I'm surprised but I can't seem to find anything on this on curezone or the net...
I have liver problems both hereditary and caused by accutane. I've done about 15 flushes all of significant success. My health has largely improved from a very bad spot. My liver is still an issue and still congested but I continue to work on it. I have fat malabsorption due to cholestasis I believe.
In the meantime ammonia problems are linked to liver issues and I have ammonia symptoms.
I have tried Ornithine and it has produced side effects. Mostly serious anxiety and mental confusion.
So I stopped and started taking charcoal which worked well but also strips my body of nutrients and most importantly cholesterol. Because I have low cholesterol due to fat malabsorption (cholestasis) lower cholesterol is a hell of a thing which can produce suicidal thoughts. It's scary.
Yucca works in the same fashion as it mops up ammonia much like charcoal, but it also mops up cholesterol which I want to avoid. Same benefits, same sides of low cholesterol.
So I went back to ornithine as everyone seems to be recommending it and again I have to come off due to anxiety/mental sides.
There are articles out there substantiating all of my findings. But I'm most curious in two things:
1. I'm curious why ornithine is being recommended when from reading it appears that it can both promote parasitic growth as well it contributes to glutamine which in turn actually increases ammonia. Look for an article entitle Trojan horse of glutamine. When I took glutamine last I felt like I was going to die due to ammonia and no doubt glutamate. Which is the second concern and could be another source of my sides as glutamate can cause toxicity and is not good when it mounts in the brain.
2. What the heck are my other options for clearing ammonia without causing worsening of sides? Does anyone have ideas?
Thanks
