Police shoot suicidal man with knife to his own throat

The video is not entirely clear with this, but here is the back story: A homeless man was suicidal and holding a knife to his throat, threatening no one, then the police showed up. The police ordered him to drop the knife, and instead the homeless guy tried to run away from them. While he was running away, they pumped him full of lead, including five additional shots AFTER he fell to the ground motionless. Idiots in America are saying, "well, you ought to know you don't run from the police" and people from other countries are freaking out in the comments, wondering what the hell went wrong with America because this type of thing happens no where else, other than Israel.
