I will tell you my case ...

Obout 6 months ago I started taking Kelp + Chlorella in a High dose for some detoxification purposes (i didn't do the salt loading protocol)

I had already been taking kelp in about 1800 micrograms/iodine a day for years on and of.

Then  I started taking the Clorella aswell in a dose that I dont control becouse it was  powder.



After 3 months i did a rutine blood test and my TSH was over 50 !!! And my t3 and t4 were slightly out of balance.



The reality is that wen I did the blood test I wasn,t feeling very well . I am more on the anxious side, but at that period I was very anxius and restles( I had just opened a new clinic so I cant say were the nervousnes came from) 



The lab called me and asked me if I was taking any algae, and they told me to stop . I stoped all the kelp+ clorella and in 3 months all was ok. (I was drinking 7 coffes a day !!! i stoped that too...)



I did an echographi and the endocrinologist sayed, you could se a swollen gland but no nodulles. She sayed she saw very small micro ganglions that she sayed could sugest Hasshimoto( like my mother)

I cheked my antibodies and the Anti TPO was high but not the rest .



The fact is I stoped all the algae and my blood work stabiliced to normal in 1 month(very fas)

I am a warm blooded person but it is easy for me to gain weight.and very dificult to lose it !!



I tested my cortisol in saliva , and it was VERY LOW( adrenal insuficiency)

I tend to get stresed easily...



The fact is I heard your talk and read your book and  decided to take Iodine agan, but Dr Grisianty insisted i do a 24 our Iodine test.



I did ...



I tested my selve in a Spanish lab ...

They replied saying that 



After the analisis 29,3 miligrams of Iodine were found in the urine after the 24 our colection. So they sayed that the patient urineted a little more than 50% of the Iodine ingested(. 50mg - 4 pills of Iodoral).

They told me also, that the reference 0-400mg , is the reference of Iodine in urine of normal population with no extra suplementation.



They told me how to do the proces before the test (then you see it is all ok) ...

- eliminate the first urine of the morning

- then take all the urines of the next day including the first of next morning

- take 4 pills of Iodoral before




MY QUESTION IS:

do I supplement with Iodine ?

I am assuming that I should, but as I had that episode of the THS rising, I wanted to make sure .
