Refreshed: Josiah didn't heal anyone. You keep wording that incorrectly. Only God heals and that is who he gave credit to and so did everyone else. That's what is important to note.
Me: Hmmmmm, that is something you do quite often yourself, word things incorrectly. lol
But I can take it, and acknowledge that yes, I should have worded that better.
Absolutely, the power of healing comes from God. But the Apostles were special in that they had the gift of healing when others didn't. Yes, the gift was 100% from God and all God's power, but still, they had something others didn't. What Josiah was talking about in that video, isn't something everyone has. God had given Josiah something special if what he was saying was true, right?
Refreshed: I'm talking about the people who only "heard" about it.
The one's that said "show me" and I will believe.
Me: And what's so wrong with that? My husband's friend kept telling him that he could grow limbs on people etc. So my husband said, "Well please take me with you, I really want to see that!" But you know, that never happened. His friend never would take him with him even though he lives near us and my husband had the time. So what do you make of that?
Refreshed: What if he was only given the gift for a small period of time but people kept asking "where is the gift?
Me: Tell that to Rainy and others that constantly quote this scripture, even though it doesn't mean what they think it does but nevertheless they still believe this is saying that once a person has a gift, they always have it:
Romans 11:29
29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
But even if it's true like you said that he only had the gift for a small period of time, still, how amazing that would be, that through your gift of healing, people walked, etc.
I asked my twelve year old daughter, who is the same age as Josiah was in that video, if she was able to get people out of wheelchairs through her prayers, would she care if anyone called her a liar. And she laughed, and said no.
Aren't we called to not care what people think anyway? Can God give Josiah this temporary amazing gift of healing but not teach him that simple concept? It just doesn't compute with me that if he really saw all these people healed, like he claims, and he also saw his own personal miracle for himself, that he would care about the naysayers.
On his twitter page, it's pretty unflattering I have to say. I'm sure there is criticism about that. Does he care though? Sure doesn't seem to!
Refreshed: He probably doesn't even understand...why him? Why did God give me this gift and then take it away? How confusing that would be to an older person more less a young one.
Me: So God just messes with people, is that what you are saying? He just messed with that young boy's head?
