9 days is not very long fast so you do not need to worry too much about breaking your fast and eating raw foods. However, it is a good practice to start low and build up your appetite.
Usually a good idea to eat raw fruits and vegetables for 1.5 X the period of your fast. So nine days fast 13.5 days of refeeding with raw foods. This is what people do who do not have to worry about the weight gain or health issues.
Many tasters change their lifestyle totally after a fast, they eat. Raw Vegan or vegetarian diet. For me it does not make much difference because I am a born vegetarian and vegan now. It is easy for me to fast and refeed.
I go on trips all the time. I bring dry fruits, seeds and nuts with me. Also where ever I go I find local fruits. There are many companies making raw vegan energy bars, which are a must on a trip.
