about two weeks ago I started having this jaw pain on my right side, then few days in it progressed to a tooth pain in one of my tooth that had a filling years ago (those white color fillings). It hurts really bad, on and off without any particular trigger. I went to my doctor and start taking metronidazole and panadol. Two days after taking the antibiotic the pain went down a lot, but it still hurts up to this day (after two weeks of antibiotics) when I bite down or chew food. And the tooth also tend to throb, especially after I exercise, there is no pain when it throbs, but just throbs along with the heartbeat. In the middle of all this, after taking 1 week of antibiotics, I went to the dentist who took two X-rays of the said tooth, but couldn't see any problems with it beside the fact that the filling is quite deep thus quite close to the nerve, but no sign of infection, decay or abscess. So dentist gave me two options, do a root canal or take out the tooth, but I asked for another dose of antibiotics and see how things goes before making a decision, because to be honest I don't want to do either one if there's a possibility of healing naturally. So I went home and start doing coconut oil pulling and sea salt swish around the mouth. And two days ago I started swishing colloidal silver. Today the sore is still there when I bite down and still throbs occasionally, but it didn't get any worse since I've already stopped antibiotics and pain meds. Just wondering if anyone have any other tips on what I can try before seeing the dentist to get a root canal, how long will I see improvements with the colloidal silver? Should I swallow them after the swish?
