I was also thinking about what someone told me about clay coloured stools. My ex husband had this problem and someone said it was his gallbladder. I just looked it up:
Pale or clay-colored stools are not normal. If your stools are pale or clay-colored, you may have a problem with the drainage of your biliary system, which is comprised of your gallbladder, liver, and pancreas. Bile salts are released into your stools by your liver, giving the stools a brown color.

Of course, if you ingested something like
Bentonite clay with your liver cleanse (I assume you're talking about flushing though), then that could cause lighter excretions too.
If you think it is your gallbladder, then you might look into herbs to support that organ. I personally like Dr. Christopher's formulations, but I'm sure there are many other good ones out there.
