After decades of suffering needlessly from major, all-consuming headaches, I've finally received from my doctor what I should have been on long ago:
Gabapentin (neurontin) - up to 1800mg per day
Next best has been acquiring of this knowledge:
(1) Awareness that computer-use has major impact, especially big bright ones
(2) Awareness that cold/dehydrating environment can trigger headaches
(3) Awareness that anti-nausea diets, including soda-crackers and tea with honey can help buffer against headahces.
(4) Awareness that lowfat-lysine diets help, with emphasis on avoiding sodium/citrus/spices and high-arginineFoods
But items 1-4 above, is for the most part if you don't have access to Gabapentin, since gabapentin avoids the need for 1-4.
Gabapentin also helps thicken the mucuosa, which thus acts as a buffer, and also avoids sinus issues and irritable bowel.
