Is it ok for distilled water to make contact with silicon? I fill up a large water dispenser with distilled water, the container itself is glass, the spigot is made of stainless steel but also has 2 small silicon gaskets. Should I be concerned about chemicals leaching from the silicon?- Re: Silicon and distilled water grizz

This is a reply to # 2,313,539I have exactly the same setup that you do, and I'm not at all worried. The small gaskets are mostly sealed from the water, and the little left exposed to water can't be a problem.
