Our builder put 3 new phone sockets in the extension which branched off a phone sockets in the existing part of the house. Kitchen units were placed in front of the phone socket which was used to connect up the 3 new sockets. Since the kitchen units were fitted, no phone sockets work except the main one coming into the house. I asked the builder today about it and he had no answers so now we can't use the land line except for one phone. (We prefer not to use cordless phones at home). Would a good electrician be able to find the source of the problem, assuming he can get to all the phone sockets? The socket behind the kitchen units is behind an integrated fridge which could be removed, if necessary.
Sounds like the connection from the main socket to the other 3 behind the kitchen appliance was disconnected/broken during installation of the kitchen appliances.
