Hi guys,
I'm new to this group. But I'm not new to water fasting. I'm currently doing my 5th fast. I plan to fast ~30 days or "until the end", that is, until hunger comes back. I've fasted 5, 7, 9, and 11 days before. Stopped for various reasons not related to fasting (work, travel, etc.). This time, I've cleared up my schedule to fast all the way.
I've read a couple books on fasting, as well as scientific papers (I'm a PhD in public health). I have a couple questions I hope knowledgeable people in this group might help me with:
1- When should the fast end?
Shelton and others say "when you're hungry again" or when "your tongue is pink". But some specialists where I live (Quebec, Canada) have told me this rarely happens.
2- Vitals. Heart rate, blood pressure. Do you monitor them? If yes, when do they become problematic?
3- Vitamins and minerals. Do you take them during long duration water fasting? If yes, which and how much?
