Amalgam removed today. It was rough. It was a huge filling. I was supposed the have 3 done in that quadrant but had one and a half. My blood pressure went up before he started and I felt panicky and had trouble relaxing. He gave me some homeopathic drops under my tongue that helped. The dental dam went much easier. The tooth was sensitive so I needed alot of needles and numbing stuff. Then finally when that tooth was done 2 1/2 hours later I had to pee from the I've and when I opened my eyes I had double vision and couldn't see right. This gradually subsided after half an hour. Had to have my husband and daughter come and drive me and my car home. The office was freaked out and never heard of that before. Had to call my vision doctor. He was out of the office today so he will be consulted tomorrow. I read a journal article that it's a rare side effect of local anesthesia because there is something structurally different in that area. Now they will do these two teeth at my last session with the bottom ones because they cant cross the mid line. My next appointment is the week after next and the other top teeth are being done.I hope this never happens again. It was scary.
