Anxiety causes insomnia; insomnia can add to anxiety. I have experienced this cycle quite a bit. I have been on a quest to eradicate my own free-floating anxiety and
Depression as well. Here is what I can offer for advice:
Eliminate caffeine, gluten, and
Sugar from your diet.
Sugar is not such a problem for me, as in, a couple of hard candies per day, but gluten causes me to have a massive anxiety/
Depression attack within 36 hours. Do you eat chocolate? That is another one that really messes me up.
Figure out if you have any
food intolerances . Such as gluten. Keep in mind that some
food intolerances only show up as psychological issues.
Are you getting enough exercise and sunlight? Have you tried yoga? Tension and trauma releasing exercises might help also (TRE).
Try
juicing greens, roots, rhizomes.
Magnesium oil: this can help a lot with anxiety. Absorbs better than the the kind of supplement you eat. Just try it. It helps.
Get tested for vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Try a paleo or raw vegan or ketogenic diet.
Get enough omega oils and healthy saturated fats.
Anxiety and mental malfunction can be caused by parasites.
Try some cleanses: bowel, parasite, liver, etc.
Perhaps you need to completely change your life.
Inflammation can cause mood/mind problems, so overall alkalizing will help.
EFT (emotional freedom techniques) have helped many, so I have read.
Acupuncture is helpful for some. I've never tried it.
I'm sure you would have noticed if it were pollution, EMFs, or mold bothering you, but just in case, I'm adding these to the list.
Kava is a very helpful medicine. Visit the Kavaforums:
http://kavaforums.com/forum/
You can start getting relief from the insomnia and anxiety immediately with kava. Read all about it first, and ask the kind folks at the forums any questions. In the meantime, look deeper to find the physical root of your problems (which is likely to be a food intolerance).
