Hello,
This is the first time i post in this forum but i've been reading some topics and messages lately to learn more about both dry and water fast.
I will be honest and say that the main reason why i am doing it is weight loss, i am 22 years old and weigh 71 kg (156.5 pounds) i have a big belly and also a big butt, i already tried some diets combined with exercices but i couldn't go through it because i have a complex relationship with food. I eat all the time, whether i am happy, sad, stressed...and i eat a lot, i like sweets and junk food too. Every time i get bored i just run to the fridge or go outside grab something to eat while watching a movie. I heard that water/dry fasting help a lot with the weight loss and shrink the stomach, so i was hoping that by doing it i can reduce my appetite and change this relationship with food; which will be a good motivation and good start for a
healthy Diet in the long term.
As a muslim i am used to dry fast everyday for 16 hours during a month but last week i tried to
Water Fast every time i eat at the end of the second day because i keep thinking about food and then i start again the next day....
Now i decided to try the dry fast, i've been dry fasting for 17 hours now and i feel good. I al afraid that the thirst will come quickly because i love water i drink more than 2 liters of water everyday usually, you can never see me go out without a bottle of water in my bag.
I will keep dry fasting as much as can and hopefully reach 3 days or more then when the thirst becomes unbearable switch to a
Water Fast for 10 or 15 days.
I will start school on the 6th september so i hope that i can lose some weight (hopefully 10 kg or more) by then and start a
healthy Diet with daily exercices to maintain the weight loss and maybe lose more on the long term.
I am posting the message here because i am looking for some support.
