Check out EFT. It can be used to help others, although carefully, and only for their highest good, which this sounds like it would be. I've found it to be incredibly helpful.

One thing to keep in mind is that it works when you tap for the right thing, so it doesn't seem to be helping try a new angle or different possible set of facts. It will work when you find the right thing.
