Hello,
Just a quick question, it was very hot recently where I live and I was wondering if I should put my Iodine in the fridge because it was around 30°C in my apartment (86°F). Is that too much ?
Because today was the first day I take Iodine and I was surprised of the taste. I thought it was tasteless but I had a very strange feeling in the mouth, like mettalic taste or something like that. Is that normal ?
I'm afraid that the heat has deteriorated my iodine.

Iodine tastes just awful. That's normal. You might try to mask the taste with a drink.
86 degrees isn't that bad so, I think you're in good shape. As long as the bottle is airtight and out of sunlight, it should be good for a long time.- Re: Iodine preservation b3nault

As to your question; Iodine keeps for a long time, but it is a halogen that goes into your cupboard and will turn a rubber dropper into a mess in a year or two, even in the fridge.
The black rubber tops (mixed with plastic?) combined with dark glass bottles sustain for years.
Still I have slightly yellow cupboards, but absolutely no bugs in them:)

This is a reply to # 2,265,601if it is Lugols it will speed up the break down of the rubber dropper bulb.
i think Lugols can be stored in the fridge. SSKI cannot as crystals will fall out of solution. - Re: Iodine preservation mdimarco

This is a reply to # 2,265,601Its fine. My only worry is if it is in a plastic bottle. If not you're totally fine. The harsh taste is caused by metal contaminants probably primarily iron. Some of that iron may have settled to the bottom in that temperature and if you have a dropper and pulled liquid from the bottom that would explain the extra weird taste. I make the purest Iodine on the market woth no harsh taste at http://www.naturehackerproducts.com, go to health remedies and scroll all the way down. Iodine is a mineral so heat will not effect it at all. Worst case scenario if you get it too hot the Iodine will poof out of solution causing a purple cloud! don't ask me how I know ;).Advertisement

the Iodine support forum is a perfect place for this guy to hawk his wares as it is not a private forum. the whole problem with this thread is that it shows up on VWT. that wouldnt be right for any private forum so its not right in this case.

Hmmm, someone splain me the logic.
Just fyi Dimarco: there are a group of about 4-5 that all gang up if you question literally anything they write:

Underlings Mike, John, and some stragglers.
Mike was banished for overt racism.
Trapper continues with overt racism.
Gina pretty much does what she's told.
Vulcanel is a good guy but needs to grow a set and leave the unhealthy group. I have faith in him.
It's a weird little group they have going.
However, each contributes decent things and they do wind up helping people. They are not ignorant, just not in the league that they think they are.
So, I for one will have a good time watching the drama unfold. I am expecting one of you to be banned, likely you, just because Trapper's got juice with the Webmaster.
