first of all i would like to thank all who showed concerned and sent good thoughts my way throughout this ordeal with my leg. certainly this has contributed to my quick healing so that in less than three weeks i am much further along than the doctor said i would be in 3 months.

in particular i would like to thank as many people as i can identify.

newport and glaxony for the blue vervain. i drank shots of the tincture and ate capsules of it freely. the manuka honey (thanks to whoever suggested that) worked so well in the wound i didnt deviate much from that and never got to use the vervain in the wound as a result.

Cautious Guinea Pig gave me some good advice about dmso and vit c. i was able to use it once and it certainly sped up the healing.

problem was that the bite was far advanced and i did not use it until after the excision and the staph infection was systemic. it was then a fairly dangerous thing to do as the staph toxins got mobilized. i toughed it out and gained in the long run but certain do this as soon as you think its recluse. good job, cgp.

i received other advice about healing poultices, some in private so i wont mention them in public but it has all helped and i have tried various of them only to go back to the honey which worked the best imho. one of them did reference uniquitys post here:
