Grace is the means that Christ uses to conquer sin.

The bible uses the same type of wording over and over.
For example:
Romans 6:14
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

It doesn't say "you are not under law but under Christ"

it is being in christ, it is following christ that conquers sin.
