can one do a Colon Cleanse if in the course of removing a ruptured appendix, they removed some of the small intestine and colon (colon resection)
not sure yet how much removed yet (asking to help brother) for down the road but maybe 5 to 7 inches..I think more was removed of the small intestine.

This is a reply to # 2,258,020wondering if anyone know the answer to this. I believe they may have taken 12 inches of large colon and small amount of small and my brother is 4 weeks post op and has almost continual diarrhea/loose stools and now says he can hardly drink any fluids as it makes the diarrhea worst.
Will this go away and and can he use colon cleansers, colonics and/or enemas in the future.
