Hello all! I am starting a
Water Fast today. It's my first fast so I'm not sure how long I will be able to go. 7 days would be great, 10 days would be my ultimate goal. But since I'm on day 1, I'll start with 1 and go from there.
Day 1 Stats:
Weight: 153.6
% Fat: 22.5
% Muscle: 35.7
I am doing this fast for several reasons. First and foremost, I have stage 4 endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and polyps in my uterus. I have had 2 surgeries for these issues. I am very interested in the prospect of fasting to dissolve scar tissue and diseased tissue in the body. For this reason I really hope I can make it beyond 3 days when ketosis begins and the body starts throwing off fat and diseased cells, tissues. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year with no luck thanks to these issues. Secondly, I would like to lose 10-15 pounds. I know that some of the weight comes back after a fast, but I am hoping that this fast jump starts a healthier lifestyle and eating habits. Finally I am hoping for some spiritual benefits from the fast as well.
I am doing this fast at home. I live with my husband and he will not be fasting. I work in a school that just got out for the year so my work situation is ideal for water fasting.
