Hey everyone,
I started using Tretinoin almost two weeks ago, and reading a lot about vitamin A on here. Aside from the EC, I have a good amount of fordyce spots on my lips. I read somewhere that I can get rid of them, hopefully, with Tretinoin..

I also purchased an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (lotion) to use with it.. I read somewhere that the two work well together, but I only got that a few days ago.
I've scoured this site for ways to get rid of the fordyce spots, so hopefully this does the trick.
Has anyone had any luck with Tretinoin?
Also, has anyone seen these?

Tretinoin may make your lips more dry and peely...at least that is what it does to other areas on my face. However, it is possible that vitamin A deficiency may contribute to EC. I posted an article about patients with Down's Syndrome. They had vitamin A deficiency or vitamin supplements helped them. When I took a vitamin absorption test (this is different from the standard vitamin A blood test), it showed that I was absorbing all vitamins except vitamin A. Vitamin A might have still shown in a standard blood test from the food I ate recently, but not the absorption one.
I think fordyce spots are a result of inflammation whether it be from allergies, bacteria, yeast, etc. Perhaps anti-inflammatory products might help.

It works. I even get a lip balm dispenser in a tube that scrolls down after you use it. make it go higher, cut off some of the balm, roll it back down, then fill it with Coconut oil.
The oil melts @ about 70 deg, so you can't carry it in pocket. I just have a tube on my desk for use when home, or you could keep it in the fridge.
