This was in my stool this morning, it has been going on for years now. I've been tested for parasite's and have been cleared, as well as Lyme's Disease. I suffer from constipation, abdominal pains, fatigue, muscle and joint pains. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia, IBS, endometriosis, occasional yeast infections.
Can you please help me?
Thank you.
Based on the picture, the mucus stuff looks just like candida. And you have quite alot of it. In case you don't know, it is now thought that all autoimmune diseases like fibromyalgia, etc. are caused by dysbiosis (candidiasis, SIBO, IBS, etc.). You should concentrate on treating both candidiasis as well as leaky gut. The autoimmune conditions as well as overworked immune system are caused by leaky gut.
There was a problem with the link for that photo you uploaded. It should work with the link below:
Thank you. I do have IBS (slow). :(
I have to do enemas (roughly 2-3x a month otherwise I don't go). I eat mostly fruits and veggies (spinach, broccoli, cabbage, egg plant, etc.). I can't eat as much lettuce as I would love to (my IBS acts up and I actually vomit when I eat lettuce, rice, and sometimes cabbage).
Are there certain foods that actually feed off the candida? Making it worse?
I have the strands 2-3x a month, but not always this bad.
I have trouble using the bathroom (#2) so I'm assuming that my intestines are re absorbing the garbage waste into my blood, which I think causes me to be so weak, moody and tired, and in extra pain from the fibromyalgia.
(Does that sound right?)
I appreciate the informative responses - thank you.
looks like inflammation in the intestines and possible candida infection. With any chronic illness(lyme, candida) you have to detox heavy metals, PCbs, estrogens ect so the immune system can work right.
once you clean the intestines, metals and balance your hormones everything should go away. Im currently treating myself for this.
Butyric acid, dilute in water (~3-5 drops in 1L warm enema water) calms down IBS/IBD and flares right away.
Butyrate is essential in all epithelial cells in the body (especially all epithelial linings)
Butyric acid, the unbuffered form, is a precursor to GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid) the relaxation hormone.
Butyric acid tightens up the gut lining and lowers gut lining inflammation rates.
Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid similar to plant oil omega-3s which is the much preferred fuel for intestinal lining cells for fuel.
It is generated by healthy gut flora colonies as a byproduct of the fermentation of resistant starches.
It reduces candida populations, and is a chemical signal that tells the candida not to grow into it's hyphal (infectious) state.
Do not confuse the body's own production of mucous with the mucous strands and colonies created by hyphal form candida when it becomes infectious. Infectious candida creates mucosal strands (crosslinked polysacchiride (sugar!) protective film called -biofilms-). Biofilms is what you are passing in your stool.
