Surf on over to the
Schulze Forum and search on 'taste'...and you'll see virtually *everybody* thinks they can't do it in smoothies, but 99.9% of folks grow to love it very quickly. Dr. Christopher said (word of truth), that THE biggest challenge in natural healing is our conditioned/altered taste buds! Getting them back to natural/normal *is* part of our natural health & healing journey.
We felt just like you do - first we bought it from Southern Botanicals (once part of Schulzes organization, now Health Freedom Resources) - in big capsules. Then we got tired of taking so many capsules (I think it was 16-18 big ones for 2 tablespoons), and started making smoothies. 'Took us a few weeks and all of a sudden, we started liking it (not to mention craving it).
The typical 'smoothie recipe' for Superfood:
1 banana (I doubt if we could have 'learned to love it' without the banana)
1 cup organic juice (or juice/water mix), we like apple/cider
1 helping of Superfood
Ice (or more water) if desired.
I know a few folks that put the Superfood powder in a glass, and mix it with enough juice/water to gulp it down. ('never been tempted to try that).
Two tablespoons = minimum to see/feel results, and meet daily nutritional needs. I use (and always have) 4T daily.
A smoothie is the perfect carrier for 'the other' one wants/needs daily...not to mention the PERFECT easy/quick breakfast or pick-me-up. I add 1-3 teaspoons of ground milk thistle seed (no taste; everyone in the world needs daily liver support). Some days I add kefir; some days I add amla or acerola cherry powder. 'In season' we add a fresh comfrey leaf, and/or any greens from our garden.
'Getting over the 'tastebud hump' (with Superfood, and many other things) is a great thing to achieve!
