Has anyone used prednisone or any other steroid instead of hydrocortisone for severe adrenal fatigue? I get no adrenal support from hydrocortisone, but I have gained like 8 lb in the past 2 weeks from it.- Re: Prednisone vs Hydrocortisone joegrane

This is a reply to # 2,240,873There is a woman in Yahoo Adult Metal Chelation who is using something else, I think prednisone; however, she's in bad shape. She is also taking medicine to support aldosterone. She is still really fatigued and really struggles to do HM detox.
A close friend also gained similar weight in a similar time period. It continued to 15lbs over additional weeks.
She cut back from nearly 15mg to 5-7mg per day plus supplements, esp pregnenolone.

I felt wonderful on Prednisone but you just can't take it very long and then you are back to square one. I lost weight, didn't itch, sneeze, or cough. Brain fog completely gone.
I understand now that dexamethazone is better for long term treatment. It also has some serious draw backs.
I don't take it because I really am working to figure out the cause and I can't do that if it is all suppressed. I use Adrenal tissue supplement that helps a lot but not like pred.- Re: Prednisone vs Hydrocortisone lasb88
