It's an interesting video and concept, to bad it was made by BBC. They are not exactly the pinnacle of truth.
Also I don't think Jesus defined himself as being a Buddhist.
Buddhism is a religion, and Jesus clearly stated....
"26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
In my opinion Buddha himself would have been disappointed in the Buddhist religion as it is especially all the statues people have erected of what is supposed to be Him. Buddha was trying to teach people to release there attachments, not make more of them. The word religion literally means attachment.
1150-1200; Middle English religioun (< Old French religion) < Latin religiōn- (stem of religiō) conscientiousness, piety, equivalent to relig(āre) to tie, fasten (re- re- + ligāre to bind, tie; cf. ligament) + -iōn- -ion; cf. rely
what would Jesus have to say about the current state of Christianity, then? apparently, there must be a structure where god dwells along with icons, images, and symbolism OF christianity. if statues (NOT statutes) that represent christ or any other hero of christianity are offensive to you then you could give islam a try because they forbid any imagery of their prophet OR god.
bbc a biased and ureliable source? i find the bbc to be MORE apt to tell the truth whether its nice or not than any other broadcasting network.
