From what I've heard:
They cant function in dry atmosphere, if they are off your body, they dry up QUICKLY. This means if they are OFF of you...say, on the floor, you can vacuum them up and they can't come back. But Be VERY careful emptying vac because... dry climate is when they become electromagnetically charged and attracted to you.
Cold or Hot doesn't seem to matter...if they are on your body they will force you to maintain optimum temperature or they will make you miserable (and they are surviving on the moisture/nutrients from your body). Humidity makes them crawl, which is unpleasant. They don't like sunlight, or direct contact with any basic mineral (think
Epsom Salts ,
table salt , sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). Matter of fact, they peel right off, if you have patience.
My recent thoughts, upon being attacked when I opened our trash bin this morning, as well as prev experience watching a excoriated scab for a day: They sporulate...like a fungus.
So if you do anything dumb like wipe your face with your hand, then wipe your jeans, their tendency to produce spores will leave a BUNCH more in your environment. EVERY thing that comes off your body must be removed from your environment. Which is a difficult thing to do . Hand Sanitizer Slows them WAY down.
They thrive on moisture. Talcum powder can provide a good defense.
Hope this helps?
