I bought a polar fleece balaclava face and head cover-up hood and it arrived a few days ago. I took it out of the package and was trying it on and took a breath as I was putting it over my face.
I immediately started coughing as I felt as though I breathed in something into my lungs. It was causing me to cough like crazy and I felt my airway, not my throat, but it seemed my airway to my lungs start to close up. I actually started getting dizzy and panicked a little trying to figure out what I was going to do at that point.
I sat down and started calming down a little and tried to focus on breathing and coughing to clear my lungs, and noticed as I was spitting out that there were a few dark fibers coming out.
Eventually I had calmed down, but was pretty shaken up most of the day, probably more from realizing that I almost passed out and who knows what else might have happened.
A few days later I feel I am back to normal but noticed that I had been light headed for those few days, especially after standing up.
Could I still have something in my lungs? Or was it an allergic reaction to the fleece???
Any ideas?
